As our Key Account Manager, you will be on the front line providing packaging solutions to our valued customers and prospects, offering the wide array Golden West provides as a total solution manufacturer. In our inclusive team environment, you will manage existing accounts, identify new prospects, collaborate with team members on providing creative and innovative solutions to the market. cultivate customer relationships leveraging our customer-first approach, prospecting and providing solutions for new customers, partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.

 

You will be hybrid, based in Northern California and responsible for outside business-to-business (B2B) sales, managing the entire sales cycle, gaining new market share, and growing existing accounts.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Examine and evaluate a customer's packaging needs and then offer recommendations to fulfill those needs while striving to meet the directives established by the business.
  • Lead expansion of Share of Wallet (SOW) in existing portfolio. Build relationships with the existing clients to grow the business with priority strategic accounts by developing and successfully implementing current account plans with focus on SOW.
  • Effectively utilize our industry expert team members as sales resources to support the requirements of tactical, strategic and alliance accounts for the assigned segment.
  • Be a true sales professional, conduct quality sales calls, follow up with the potential sales lead. Identify and implement Value Propositions with priority potential leads through knowledge and application of GWPG’s corporate/business capabilities and resources.
  • Deliver value to our target accounts by overseeing the development and implementation of market-driven strategies.
  • Utilize our user-friendly CRM system to organize and manage your book of business and prospects.
  • Organize and lead cross-functional meetings/teams at customers to collaborate on solutions, as well as internal GWPG teams as needed to manage and develop a customer account.
  • Be the liaison between our customer and Golden West Packaging, responsible for the total relationship between the customer and GWPG – working with internal management, design, production, customer service and suppliers, to ensure a common high level of professionalism and commitment to the customer. Our goal is to be a trusted resource for our customers, an extension of their business and help them succeed.

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within your assigned region. The Role You’ll Play

· Supports team members in communications between the client and our internal teams by collaborating with sales, design, manufacturing, and logistics department teams to oversee and manage client orders ensuring clients receive their products/services on-time and in-full.

· Collaborate with design, pricing, sales and production teams on client new product design request to ensure product design details meet needs and product specifications

· Interact with clients to effectively address inquiries, requests and/or complaints in a timely manner through use of a solve by “Solve by Sundown” guideline to client inquiries and problems

· Build strong professional relationships with clients by accurately entering, tracking and managing orders from start to finish ensuring accurate, on-time and in-full delivery of packaging products and services

· Use sound judgement, solid decision making and effective interpersonal communication and listening skills to successfully manage all client calls and identify “win-win” solutions involving any client order issues that may arise. The Role You’ll Play

As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will be a part of our Accounting team that drives the tactical direction for our fast-paced Financial & Accounting function, including the supervision of an internally dedicated team of AP leads and specialists. You must be able to manage a multi-million-dollar AP function and provide management oversight of initiatives. You will routinely interact with leaders in functions ranging from Finance, Tax, Treasury, Operations and Integrations.

 

This position is a hybrid role and will work from our Sacramento or City of Industry, CA location.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Accounts Payable department. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives in defined area.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving internal customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the company’s annual budget process and provides recommendations; ensuring compliance to company budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to the management.
  • Responsible for assisting in the company’s cash flow forecast process.

 

  • Manages AP disbursements, 1099, use-tax and other tax related matters for multiple US entities, utilizing staff to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Manage payment runs (check/ACH/wire/virtual credit card) throughout the week to ensure timely processing of vendor invoices.
  • Develops and maintains department KPI’s to accurately assess performance and uses data to inform management decisions / areas of focus.
  • Identifies and resolves the source of issues in an effective manner.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems and policies and procedures. Ensures adherence to company, legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.
  • Continually reviews control framework and addresses potential gaps / risks by updating controls as needed.

The Role You’ll Play

As our Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounting and analytical business support for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, taxes and other filings, internal and external reporting requirements, and other ad-hoc projects. This includes timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monitoring of internal controls in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Senior Accountant will also collaborate cross functionally to centralize general accounting processes amongst the broader GWPG platform in the spirit of continuous improvement. This role will be involved with regular compliance and audit activities design to ensure operating and financial controls are working as designed. The Senior Accountant will work on Company’s annual commercial insurance renewal and daily stay involved in Company’s risk management process.

 

This position will work from our Sacramento or City of Industry, CA location.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including clear and detailed preparation of journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations
  • Identifying, researching, investigating and problem-solving GL account activity or discrepancies as it relates to variance analysis within the profit and loss statement (P&L) and/or balance sheet
  • Collaborating cross functionally with various business units and departments, including but not limited to, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and complete general ledger activity
  • Analyzing effectiveness of relevant controls, ensuring controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Preparing annual update for Company’s commercial insurance renewal. Identify recommended risk management follow up actions for correcting or strengthening existing practices.
  • Perform internal audits of Company operations and departments as directed by Director of Accounting Services, VP Accounting and CFO.
  • Test and monitor access controls to Company’s financial systems and applications.
  • Applying professional skepticism and an inquisitive approach to review and analyze the appropriateness and reasonableness of underlying accounting principles.
  • Supporting the Business Unit’s through financial close, including serving as a point of contact for inquiries and problem resolution
  • Participating in month-end reporting tasks, including review of GL account activity with detailed analyses
  • Assisting with external audits, including preparation of various schedules and analyses and proactive collaboration with internal team members on requested support
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax requirements, including but not limited to, federal, state, local, property, sales and use, and franchise tax compliance
  • Preparing required census filings in a timely manner
  • Ensuring adherence to standard accounting principles in accordance with GWPG policies and procedures and U.S. GAAP with respect to period recognition of costs, capital vs. expense, accruals, etc.
  • Staying current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies (FASB), incorporating into current Company policy as necessary
  • Contributing to the due diligence process, as applicable
  • Reviewing current policies and procedures across the Divisions and participate in establishing “best practices” as we centralize and standardize across the business
  • Participating in the ongoing development/establishment of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for accounting policies and regulations, including recommendations for improvements for potential adoption across all Divisions
